Synergy presents case study on McAfee’s Sales Transformation journey at CSE2011 sales conference

McAfee transforms their sales organisation to help reduce cyber-terrorism

As part of its commitment to combat cybercrime, McAfee, the world’s largest dedicated security technology company has focused on transforming its sales organisation over the last couple of years. McAfee’s Sales Transformation story will be shared later this month at Australia’s premier Sales Conference (CSE2011).

Cybercrime, especially cyber-terrorism and cyber-hacking, presents a real threat for businesses and governments worldwide. This has had a significant impact on the IT industry, especially companies like McAfee, who sell security. Over the last five years, selling security has become more than selling products; it is about selling solutions to solving problems that can be of a national threat.

Recognising this, McAfee engaged Synergy, global sales transformation specialists, and the two companies have been working together for the last three years to shift McAfee’s sales team from ‘product sellers’ to ‘solution providers’ with the ability to ask the right questions in order to be able to put forward the most appropriate security solution.

Katherine Edgar, CEO of The Synergy Group, revealed: “Synergy is delighted to be a part of this year’s Sales Excellence Conference (CSE2011) and we are particularly looking forward to co-presenting with McAfee’s President, Steve Redman.

Synergy has worked with McAfee over the last three years helping create a profound shift in the way their sales team thinks, behaves and performs. McAfee has experienced significant returns from the project and attendees at this year’s CSE conference will get to hear firsthand about McAfee’s experiences and key insights into what makes a winning sales organisation.

In the current economic climate, companies need to put sales performance high on the business agenda. With the number of businesses expecting no growth this financial year increasing, companies cannot afford to not seriously examine their sales strategies, methodologies and capability” Katherine further adds.

Synergy is committed to raising the profile of the sales profession in Australia and this is the second year running that the company has supported the Centre for Sales Excellence Annual Conference.
